Teens: Mehndi & Body Art for Teens

This was another successful program for teens to add to the list at our branch. I honestly did not expect a lot of teens to show up, let alone have any boys be present. I had my friend who is of Pakistani descent serve as my guest presenter on mehndi and body art. She talked a little about her culture, provided some historic perspective on the Indian traditional body art and briefly demonstrated different kinds of dyes, tools and patterns that traced on the arms, hands, legs, and feet. The teens got to participate in designing their own patterns on their hands and arms. It was a fun event.
