I forgot to input my comments on Tuesdays teen program-Chocolate Taste-Off. I had 15 teens in attendance. It was a real short program. I think next year I'll extend it so that it will last the full hour and make it into a chocolate tasting party. I only did the name that chocolate guesings game which I thought would take longer than 30 minutes for them to guess. But it took only 15-20 minutes to guess and maybe 10 minutes to provide the answers. The idea came from the Texas Teen Read! website under Food Fights link, http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/projects/ttr/2008/manual/food_fights.html#choc1.
I followed the instructions on the site. I purchased the candy bars from Rite Aid. The prices f0r candy bars like Snickers, Milky Way, M &Ms were 2 for $1.00 and others regular price $.88. You can't be that! I spent about $17.00 total for the program.
