Alphabets

It's back to school time! I decided to do a concept storytime on alphabets. I figure most of the kids will be starting preschool or kindergarten so we might as well cover the basics like the ABCs.
For an activity, I came up with a game called "Pin the Alphabet on the Coconut Tree"-hence "coconut tree" from Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. I came up with the idea while sitting on the toilet. I know, TMI but I tend to gather my thoughts and ideas better that way. Well, the game is like Pin the Tail on the Donkey except you have a coconut tree and alphabets. The kids really enjoyed it!

Fun Activity:

Pin the Alphabet on the Coconut Tree - design a tree similar to the one featured in Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, cut out alphabets add tape on back, blindfold the kid.
