I'm such a uber nerd, it's ridiculous. But I came across a YA Teen Librarian blog and it mentioned this site- animoto.com to create short videos and stuff. It sounded cool and thought this may lead into a teen program in sorts where the teens can create mini shorts using this site as like a competition spreading the word about the library and reading. I don't know! But I needed to brainstorm before I forget all about this cool site. Although you can use Windows Movie Maker and other film/video editing software I thought this was neat because it is free and easy to use. Just upload, add music, and edit (if you want) and create. Walla you have a simple 30-second video.
Well I'm on storytime vacation. I need a break! I restart on March 2nd with a special storytime of Dr. Seuss classics and cake in honor of his birthday. You simple just can't get enough of good ole' the Cat in the Hat, Horton and One Fish, Two Fish! It never seems to grow old.
