We kicked off our annual Summer Reading program with a creepy, crawling, stinging presentation provided by Watkins Nature Center. The most reliable and dependable source for a free, nature oriented program. It was a good turn-out. Paula McNeil-the naturalist from Watkins Nature Center was great.
The one thing I hope all the children and parents/caregivers learned is to not leave trash lying around, especially trash that can collect water because they can be breeding homes for mosquitos. Dragonflies do not sting! They are our friends because they eat and kill mosquitos.
